1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use PolyGlyph, we collect the following types of information:
Account Information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication. We do not collect passwords directly — authentication is handled securely by Google Firebase.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the service, including generation prompts, generation types selected, credit transactions, and feature usage patterns. This data helps us improve the product and troubleshoot issues.
Generated Content Metadata. We store metadata about your generations, including timestamps, prompt text, generation type, and references to the generated files. The generated SVG and PNG files themselves are stored in cloud storage associated with your account.
Payment Information. When you purchase credits, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. We receive and store transaction identifiers, purchase amounts, and credit bundle information.
API Usage Data. If you use the PolyGlyph API, we collect request metadata including timestamps, API key identifiers (hashed), request counts, and rate limit data.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery. To process your generation requests, manage your account, track credits, and deliver the SVG and PNG files you create.
- Service Improvement. To analyze usage patterns, optimize our generation pipeline, improve vectorization quality, and develop new features.
- Customer Support. To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide assistance with your account or generations.
- Security. To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the service.
- Communications. To send you essential service notifications, such as account confirmations, credit purchase receipts, and important policy updates.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly as necessary to operate PolyGlyph:
- Firebase (Google Cloud). Authentication, database (Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), and hosting infrastructure. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.
- fal.ai. AI image generation. Your text prompts are sent to fal.ai to generate the initial PNG image. fal.ai does not retain generated images beyond processing.
- Recraft. SVG vectorization. The generated PNG is sent to Recraft for conversion to SVG format.
- Stripe. Payment processing. When you purchase credits, Stripe handles the transaction securely. Stripe's privacy policy governs their processing of payment data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PolyGlyph, our users, or the public.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure through Firebase. All data is encrypted at rest using Google-managed encryption keys and encrypted in transit using TLS.
Our infrastructure is hosted in secure data centers managed by Google Cloud Platform. We rely on Google's industry-leading security practices, including regular audits, access controls, and compliance certifications.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Generated Content
You own the SVG and PNG files generated through PolyGlyph. Your generated content is yours to use for personal or commercial purposes.
We may use anonymized, aggregated metadata about generations (such as generation type distribution, average file sizes, and pipeline performance metrics) to improve our service. This metadata does not include your prompts, personal information, or the generated files themselves.
Generated files are stored in your account and are not publicly accessible unless you choose to share or export them.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. This includes your profile information, generation history, credit balance, and ledger records.
Generated files (SVGs and PNGs) are retained in cloud storage and remain accessible in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and generated files within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or financial record-keeping).
Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
